Let’s get personal

I love my family (my lovely wife and 2 daughters). I enjoy spending quality time with my family and support them on their passions. I also have a dog at home, a small one.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time learning 📚, developing 🧑‍💻, doing sports 🏃‍♂️, cooking 🧑‍🍳, watching movies 🎬, riding my motorbike 🏍️, and relaxing near the beach 🏖️.

Professional life

I’m a seasoned Leader and Manager in Software Engineering. I love creating great software to solve big problems. But what I love even more is assembling a group of talented people to tackle even bigger challenges.

My mission is to help companies deliver solutions that make a difference to people.

With over 15 years of experience leading teams and building software, I’ve had the opportunity to provide value from a wide variety of perspectives. I’ve worked with early-stage startups, medium-sized companies, consultancies, and large corporations. In each environment, I’ve found ways to drive impactful initiatives while surrounding myself with great people. Along the way, I’ve adapted, learned, and stayed true to my core values:

Teamwork Makes the Dreak Work

A team is much more than a group of people working together. A true team understands its purpose, supports and collaborates with one another, and fosters trust and respect. It recognizes its strengths and weaknesses, strives for continuous improvement, and communicates openly and honestly — even when it’s hard. A team embraces the diversity of its members, gets to know one another, and enjoys spending time together.

Know the user, Know the Product, Know the Code

Everyone is product. It applies independly from your role (Dev, PO, EM, UX…), everyone must know what are the user necessities and how we are trying to cover them. Development is not about moving tasks from ToDo to Done. It is a about bringing value with the tool we love to use, code.Code must be in shape, or nothing will ship. I believe the best outcomes emerge from a great team with a robust development ecosystem, deep product understanding, and customer-centric thinking.

Be proud of your craft

I want you to start your workday with a smile because you’re passionate about what you do. Even if you end your day exhausted, it’s important that you feel proud of your accomplishments. I want you to feel empowered to lead, regardless of your experience (leadership can come from anywhere), and encouraged to pursue the best outcomes. That’s why I focus on providing full context and the clearest possible “why”. Additionally, I’m passionate about tech excellence, and I’m always looking for ways to measure and elevate our tech ecosystem. I want us to confidently say: “Yes! We deploy on Fridays!”

Lean mindset everywhere

I’m a strong advocate of KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) and YAGNI (You Aren’t Gonna Need It). I ruthlessly eliminate unproductive processes and meetings — I really hate low-value meetings. I love bringing structure to chaos and establishing continuous improvement (Kaizen). My focus is on maximizing learning with short feedback loops to deliver the right value. This applies to code as well too — automate rules, don’t debate them. I love seeing things automated.

Focus prioritized work, beats hard work

As a manager, I ensure constant and predictable value delivery. I emphasize “constant” because relying only on hard work and heroics isn’t sustainable long term. I believe laser focus and well-prioritized work is the keys to achieving anything. “If you have more than 3 priorities, you have none” or “You move faster with 6 steps in 2 directions than 2 steps in 6 directions”.

Humans First

We are all people — not robots or numbers in a spreadsheet. Because of that, my focus is on creating the best possible group of humans, regardless of role, experience, or any diversity factor. When people feel inspired, informed, empowered, listened, trusted, and well treated, they’re happier and can do anything. To support that, I mentor with extreme kindness and full transparency. No business idea or process can succeed without people. My leadership is fundamentally about leading humans.

This is a living page, just like me — it will evolve and change over time.
